About

The bigger life is on the other side of the door.

Higher Road To You is the operational bridge from the collapsing economic architecture to the cooperative one that replaces it. This page is what that means in plain language.

Why this exists

The architecture is collapsing on schedule.

The economy that funded the architecture for a hundred years is ending. The dead-end job is no longer reliably available. AI is replacing white-collar work at a pace nobody saw coming five years ago. The reliable trade-off — your time for the architecture's wages — is being withdrawn unilaterally.

Three things are arriving at the same time. Every industry that engineered the old architecture is now being documented on camera. AI is putting expert-level decision support into the hands of every person with a phone. And the cooperative model — worker-owned businesses, foundation-owned enterprises, intentional communities — used to exist as scattered proof-of-concept and is now being connected into a coherent alternative architecture.

Most people haven't registered that the window is open. HRTY is the first brand built entirely on what's on the other side of that window.

What HRTY is

A book, a community, and a set of tools for the moment in history we are actually living through.

The book

The Higher Road — Volume One — The Map. The diagnostic chapters that name the architecture, and the seven moves that walk you out of it.

The community

A cooperative tribe of readers running the moves together. Free membership. No funnel. The room where the relational work happens.

The tools

AI surfacing of medical, financial, legal, business, and parenting decisions. A personal-architecture audit. A daily chain. A cooperative-acquisition pipeline.

The founder

Mark Stofer.

I climbed out of the same architecture most readers are still inside.

Meth at seventeen. A trailer at thirty-five. A knife in my hand at thirty-eight. The details don't matter. The exit is the same no matter what your version looks like, and the exit is what HRTY is built for.

A teacher named Mr. Osterass called me out of class on a Friday afternoon when I was thirteen. The radius of my life was a few hundred yards — my bedroom, the corner of the block, a 7-Eleven across the street. He saw something I hadn't seen. The radius of my life expanded that day, and it has been expanding since.

I've built businesses. I've raised four kids who have what I did not have. Same DNA. Different universe. The architecture's grip on the family was broken before they were born into it.

What I learned: the architecture wins through delay. It loses against action. The exit is operational, not theoretical. Seven moves, walked in order, produce real results in real lives. I wrote it down because I was tired of watching people who could walk out wait for permission they were never going to be given.

Today I'm the founder of Higher Road To You. I serve on the Hacker Dojo Board as Advisor for Media Relations and Partnership Strategy. I work with organizations navigating the same transition at scale. I'm writing Volume Two, which will include the stories of members who took the moves and built the bigger life.

The promise

If a thousand people walk through the door, nine hundred or more get measurable, tangible results in health, money, relationships, and life.

That math is the entire moral commitment of this platform. It works because the people who win become the proof for the next person.

For organizations

Lower costs today. Weaker customers tomorrow.

If your company is using AI primarily to remove people from payroll, you may also be removing demand from the economy your revenue depends on. Efficiency without purchasing power creates imbalance. The next AI crisis may not begin when machines become too powerful. It may begin when human income becomes too fragile.

HRTY works with leaders navigating this transition without extracting their way into the next crisis. Keynotes. Advisory. Cooperative-acquisition pathways for businesses that would otherwise be sold to private equity or simply close.

AI should expand human capacity, not quietly hollow out the consumer base that businesses depend on.

The ecosystem is the platform

HRTY is the open community.

There is no other system behind the system. The platform is the cooperative tribe. The accountability hub is the tribe itself — readers walking the moves together, holding each other through the relational work, voting on which transitions become the canon. The architecture HRTY replaces was built on extraction; the architecture it builds is the open community itself.

The AI tools run on Anthropic's Claude with prompt caching on the audit system prompt. The cooperative-acquisition pipeline runs against the LegacyShare Capital criteria. The audiobook of Volume One — read in Mark's voice — runs as the 24/7 stream once the ElevenLabs voice clone goes live in June.

Volume Two is being written by the tribe. Members who run the seven moves and contribute their before/after transitions to the canon will be included in the book with a by-line.
