Higher Road To You (“HRTY,” “we,” “us”) operates higherroadtoyou.com (the “Site”) — a book, a community, and a set of tools. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. HRTY is operated by Higher Road To You, LLC, based in California, USA.

1. The information we collect

You give us directly:

• Email address when you request the first chapter, join the community, or sign up for updates.
• Account / membership details when you create a free membership.
• Content you submit to the AI tools. When you use a tool on our AI Tools page, you may paste in a medical diagnosis or test result, a contract or financial document, a business idea, or a parenting situation. Some of this can be sensitive, including health and financial information. We process it to generate the tool’s response (see Section 3).
• LegacyShare candidate submissions — business and contact details about a company being considered for a cooperative-acquisition pathway.
• Community contributions — posts, messages, and “before/after” transitions you choose to share, some of which may be considered for inclusion in future work (see our Terms of Service).
• Messages you send us.

Collected automatically: basic usage and device data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) through standard web logs, plus cookies needed to run the Site and remember your session.

2. How we use your information

• To deliver the book chapter, run your membership, and operate the community.
• To provide the AI tools and return their output to you.
• To evaluate and follow up on LegacyShare candidate submissions.
• To communicate with you. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the Site, and to comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. The AI tools — how your pasted content is handled

The tools on our AI Tools page are powered by third-party AI providers, currently Anthropic (Claude). When you submit content to a tool, it is transmitted to that provider to generate a response. The audiobook stream uses ElevenLabs voice technology.

• Do not paste anything you are not comfortable sending to an AI system. Leave out names and identifiers you don’t need.
• The tools provide general information only — they are not medical, legal, financial, business, or parenting advice, and using them creates no professional relationship. See our Terms.
• We handle the data you submit per this policy; the AI provider processes it under its own terms.

4. Who we share it with

• Service providers that run the Site on our behalf — currently Beehiiv (email), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI tools), and ElevenLabs (audio). They may use it only to provide their service to us.
• Legal and safety recipients when required by law, or to protect rights and the integrity of the platform.
• A successor in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — with notice to you.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. Membership and email data are kept until you ask us to delete it or close your account. We retain AI-tool submissions no longer than 90 days unless you choose to save them to your account.

6. Your choices and rights

You can opt out of marketing any time via the unsubscribe link, and you can access, correct, or delete your information by emailing us.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access, delete, and correct it, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” (we do neither). You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email us; we will verify your request before acting on it.

If you are outside the US, additional rights may apply under your local law; contact us and we will honor applicable rights.

7. Children

The Site and tools are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, give a more prominent notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
